RESView™ Visualization
Interface
The high-fidelity datasets produced by Digital Volumetric
Imaging (DVI) Microimager™ are visualized with RESView™,
a proprietary software package developed by Microscience Group
Inc. RESView allows you to visualize and analyze digitized
two- and three-dimensional information from tissue and other
materials. RESView runs on Pentium IV (or higher) computer
configured with Windows 2000, XP or 2003. The interface consists
of 3 windows:
The 3D Sample Window:
Shown on the left side of Sample Window is a reduced resolution
3D version of your DVI data volume. In this window, you can
interactively manipulate the 3D data, pushing cut planes through
from any orthogonal plane, cropping the volume, thresholding
away obstructing material and more.
The 2D Section Window:

Upper right of the Section Window (above) is a full-resolution
2D section of your sample, representing a cross section through
your DVI/Data volume. One volume is often comprised of a thousand
sections. The section displayed corresponds to the plane of
the volume selected in the 3D Sample Window.
The Toolbox:
Shown on the lower left of the interface above and on the
left is the TabTool window. You can enhance and perform operations
on both the 2D and 3D images. Export any view as a 2D image
file or a high-resolution 3D render.
